What is the difference between templates, scheduling, and group polls?

Scheduling can be done in two ways on Spir: Sharing availability from templates and suggesting times.
Suggesting times offers two more options: Scheduling and group polls. Use the different methods based on the party count and the purpose of the event.

Templates

  • This feature is useful when scheduling with one other individual.
  • A scheduling URL that contains your latest schedule matching conditions you configure will be sent to other party, enabling them to confirm the schedule simply by choosing a candidate date and time that works for them.
  • Creating the live URL once eliminates the need to designate candidate dates and times for each event. This option is recommended for scheduling online consultation sessions or if you have a routine schedule.

Suggest times > Scheduling

  • This feature is useful when scheduling with one other individual.
  • A scheduling URL or text containing candidate dates and times are sent to the other party, who will select a date and time that works for them.
  • This option is recommended for those who want to strategically configure candidate dates and times and accommodate ad hoc scheduling.

Suggest times > Group Poll

  • This feature is convenient when the event involves multiple people.
  • Multiple people will vote on candidate dates and times you choose. You will then confirm the schedule after considering the results of the poll.
  • This option is recommended for meals, conferences, meetings with freelance workers and partners, and other events involving the attendance of at least three people and requires everyone’s schedule to be considered.
